Vitor PhD graduation

Vitor Rodrigues concluded his PhD in chemical engineering.

Vitor thesis was entitled "Supercritical technology for the production of natural extracts from forest biomass" and the work was supervised by Prof. Carlos Manuel Silva (EgiChem, CICECO, University of Aveiro) and Prof. Inês Portugal (EgiChem, CICECO, University of Aveiro).

Ivo Azenha concluded his PhD in chemical engineering.

Ivo thesis was entitled "Advanced and innovative simulated moving bed strategy for the isolation of ternary mixtures of triterpenic acids" and the work was supervised by Prof. Carlos Manuel Silva (EgiChem, CICECO, University of Aveiro) and Professor Adélio Mendes (LEPABE, FEUP, University of Porto).

EgiChem and University of Aveiro host meeting with BB&G, Bridgestone, and Versalis

EgiChem and University of Aveiro hosted a meeting with BB&G, Bridgestone, and Versalis, regarding ongoing research on the pyrolysis of end-of-life tires for the production of recovered carbon black, fuel and syngas. A total of 5 students have been collaborating with BB&G in the past three years for the optimization of the company’s patented pyrolysis technology, and subsequent characterization of the obtained products.
