The thesis work of the former EgiChem researcher Elaine Fabre was acknowledged by National Geographic website, and the publication can be consulted here.

The highlighted research is devoted to the removal of heavy metals from aqueous streams using natural matrices such as banana residues and results from a collaboration between CIIMAR, CESAM, LAQV-REQUIMTE and EgiChem/CICECO

Here are some publications the resulted from Elaine's work:

The EgiChem researcher Marcelo Melo presented a work in the 58th European High Pressure Research Group International Conference, which took place in Tenerife (Spain) from the 6th to 9th of September of 2020. The event was online due to the coronavirus pandemic restrictions.

For more than half a century, the meetings of the European High Pressure Research Group (EHPRG) have been bringing together hundreds of researchers that work on high-pressure science and technology. These annual conferences have proved to be outstanding occasions to exchange and discuss ideas and disseminate the latest results in research areas related to the application of high pressures.

Marcelo Melo delivered the following presentation at the conference:

- M.M.R. de Melo, M. Sapatinha, J. Pinheiro, M.F.L. Lemos, N.M. Bandarra, I. Batista, M.C. Paulo, J. Coutinho, J.A. Saraiva, I. Portugal, C.M. Silva. Cosolvents influence on the kinetics of supercritical fluid extraction of Aurantiochytrium sp. microalgae, 58th European High Pressure Research Group International Conference, Tenerife, Spain, 6-11 September, 2020.
